about me

Hi! I am Lilly Grace Gibbs, and I grew up in Auburn, Alabama. I’m currently a junior at Auburn University studying Graphic Design. I’m fascinated by the ways design can communicate ideas, tell stories, and create experiences that feel both intentional and memorable. My focus lies in branding and exploring how analog processes can be incorporated into digital work, blending tactile craft with modern tools. Typography is central to my approach; it’s the element that ties a project together and gives it clarity and cohesion.

why graphic design

I design because I love solving problems both visually and conceptually. I’m drawn to work that has a purpose, whether that’s creating an interactive experience or designing something that sparks curiosity. My philosophy is to create work that feels thoughtful and cohesive while leaving room for experimentation and play. Studying at Auburn University has deepened my passion for design and given me an incredible community of mentors and peers who constantly inspire me. Choosing Auburn was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I am so grateful for how it’s shaped me as both a designer and a person.

My strengths include a strong sense of typography, attention to detail, and the ability to merge analog and digital processes in creative ways. I’m looking to grow in areas such as large-scale project management, interactive design, and collaborative team environments. I hope to find opportunities, whether internships or entry-level positions, where I can contribute meaningfully while learning from experienced designers and seeing how ideas come to life in the real world.

I aim to bring a balance of personality and professionalism to my work: approachable, thoughtful, and curious, but always intentional in my design decisions. My goal with this portfolio is to show not just what I make, but how I think as a designer and the type of work I want to continue creating.
